In one of my graphic design classes, we had a semester-long project to come together in groups to create fictitious companies that we would eventually design the branding identity for. Our professor switched things up by having us design for another group's company after each individual assignment. Our second assignment is what you will see down below—the mobile solution. We had to create either an app or mobile website for the company. The company that I had to create the app design for was called "Maui Bay Marine Center," a fictitious aquarium site located in the Maui bay area of Hawaii. My favorite part of the logo were the little waves, so I decided to incorporate the wave motif throughout my app design.
The colors were straightforward: various shades of blue to fit the whole marine theme of the project. I went for blues that also had hints of green to balance everything out.
